FULSHEAR - The big-time running back with a big-city name is heading to play college football at the highest level in the state with the lowest population. For Fulshear High School senior Patrick Broadway II, the opportunity to play for the Cowboys at Wyoming is something he's worked his entire life for, and never doubted, despite a relative lack of interest from NCAA Division I programs. "I got my first Division I offer about a day or two before (the Wyoming offer)," Broadway said.

In front of a crowd at the Fort Bend Museum in Richmond, former Fort Bend County Judge Robert “Bob” Hebert, and his wife Patricia, were both awarded the 2025 Bert E. Bleil Heritage Award for exceptional contributions in historical preservation for their works in the county. Through his address to those in attendance, Judge Hebert took the time to reminisce of the efforts he helped lead to restore the county’s historic courthouse.

This time it was the architect of the Lions’ stout and punishing defense, defensive coordinator Preston Rambo, who was singled out by the Texas High School Coaches Association as the region’s Assistant Coach of the Year.

BRYAN - The Rangers were out in force Tuesday at the Legends Event Center. Terry placed second in boys and third in girls in the District 10-5A meet, getting 205 points on the boys' side and 117.5 on the girls side in the process. Huntsville (180) and College Station (156) were first and second, respectively, in the girls competition, while College Station (246) claimed the boys' crown.
