Formula E is planning to race in Spain for the first time since 2021 with plans well advanced to host a race at Jarama next March. The Race can reveal that a double-header at the former Spanish Grand Prix venue, which hosted Formula E's pre-season test last November, could be confirmed next month when the provisional calendar for the 2025-26 season is communicated by the FIA.

Aston Martin Formula 1 reserve driver Felipe Drugovich is in the running to replace Nyck de Vries at the Mahindra Formula E team for the World Endurance Championship-clashing Berlin races in July. Andretti driver Nico Mueller should have been in prime position to win his first Formula E race in Monaco on Saturday but an issue with his mandatory Pit Boost application compromised that prospect and contributed to him ending up fifth instead. Mueller appeared to have his race completely wrecked when he picked up a punctured right rear Hankook tyre after contact on lap two.

It's been three years since Pascal Wehrlein looked on incredulously once a likely race-winning position in Formula E's Monaco round slipped through his fingers due to a mechanical issue on his Porsche. In the two Monaco races since then, he has taken 10th- and fifth-place finishes. Although a pole position was a spike in positivity last April, the reigning world champion's record on the streets of the Principality has been modest at best. But it was the 2022 race that was the real bitter pill.
