    PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Prince George's County Board of Elections has finished tabulating all the mail-in and provisional ballots for the special primary held on Aug. 6. Jolene Ivey will represent the Democratic party and Michael Riker will represent the Republican party in the general election held on Nov. 5. On Aug. 6, voters placed their ballots in the special primary held to fill the open at-large seat on the Prince George's County Council.

    WASHINGTON — The District of Columbia Republican Presidential Primary will be held over a 3-day period. Starting Friday, March 1, and running through Sunday, March 3, 2024. Registered Republicans can cast their ballot for one of seven presidential candidates at the Madison Hotel on 15th Street in Northwest D.C.  The DC Republican Party, which is conducting this primary, says voting hours will be 8 am-7 pm all three days.

    BETHESDA, Md. — Maryland first lady Dawn Moore received an honor Monday, from the U.S. Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, during a naming ceremony at the Naval Support Activity Bethesda. Accompanied by her husband, Gov. Wes Moore, Dawn Moore was named the sponsor of the new medical ship, USNS Bethesda. The ship, named after the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, will deliver medical aide to Navy and Marine Corps servicemembers around the world.

    LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin pardoned Scott Smith, a Loudoun County father, convicted of disorderly conduct at a school board meeting in 2021, according to a statement released by the governor's office on Sunday. Back in May 2021 a 14-year-old student sexually assaulted a female student at Stone Bridge High School. The 14-year-old later transferred to Broad Run High where the student sexually assaulted another female student 5 months later.
