Sammy Guevara suffered a serious injury moments before the 5th anniversary of AEW Dynamite began. Since its inception in 2019, Dynamite completed 5 years today. However, before the show, fans saw current ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara get knocked out during a taped match against Serpentico for ROH On HonorClub. The injury occurred after Guevara landed awkwardly trying to hit a mid-air cutter on Serpentico as he dived from the top rope.

The former TNT Champion was hoping to make a return to action on the October 18th episode of AEW Dynamite, which will emanate from his hometown of Houston, Texas.
