The 7-foot-3-inch behemoth weighed in at 153 pounds and Weston said it took him nearly four hours to reel in on just 2-pound test fishing line. He said they chased the fish 2 miles before hauling it in. Weston said he caught the fish with the help of Captain Kirk Kirkland, the owner of Alligator Gar Fishing, a guide service.

JAMAICA BEACH, Texas — This Easter weekend, police on Jamaica Beach weren't looking for eggs on the shore. The City of Jamaica Beach warned of cocaine packages washing up after they say a ship's crew started dumping large amounts of packaged cocaine into the Gulf as they were being raided by authorities. If you find any suspicious packages on the shore, you're asked to contact the Jamaica Beach Police Department. This isn't the first time strange things have washed up along Texas' coast.
