In December 2024, we were delighted to host a webinar to reflecton the Forum on Domestic Violence and the Operation of Article13(1)(b) of the 1980 Child Abduction Convention which was held inSandton, South Africa between 18 to 21 June 2024. The 1980 Hague Convention, which currently has 103 ContractingStates, is generally acknowledged as being a very successfulinstrument, and undoubtedly it has improved the situation forabducted children since its introduction.
