A castle owned by the Disney family is up for sale for a whopping €7.5million. Coolmain Castle overlooks the sea and up the estuary to Courtmacsherry Bay in Cork and is just a short drive from Kenmare. The 18th century fairy tale castle sits on 56 acres and boasts six reception rooms, nine bedrooms and six bathrooms. It was bought by Roy E. Disney, nephew of Walt Disney and vice-chairman of the Walt Disney Company, in 1989 and comprehensively restored and updated.

The family of the late Aslan singer Christy Dignam have announced a tribute concert to mark his anniversary. Remembering Christy Dignam will take place at Vicar Street on Thursday, May 29. It will mark the second anniversary of his death after the singer passed away from cancer. Special guests will include Tom Dunne, Brian McFadden and Mundy but Christy’s former bandmates will not be in attendance again this year.

The partner of Fair City star Bryan Murray has said the actor doesn’t believe there is anything wrong with him – as he retires from the soap later this month. The actor has portrayed the character Bob Charles for 20 years after first joining the cast in 2005. The soap star and his co-star, and real-life partner Una Crawford O'Brien, shared that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease two years ago. Bryan will make his last appearance on our screens on Thursday, 24 April.
