Mumbai, April 23 : At least 19 tourists from Maharashtra were saved from the Pahalgam terror mayhem as 'luck' was on their side on April 22, with the local Kashmiri hotel owners also coming to their rescue. However, six more tourists from Maharahstar were not 'lucky' and lost their lives to terror madness. Around 14 of these 'lucky' tourists belong to the Chalisgaon area of Jalgaon district in Maharashtra. They were in Pahalgam from April 19 to 21, and returned to Srinagar on Monday.

Mumbai, April 22: The Maharashtra government has released a notification specifying strict guidelines for eligibility, safety and fares for the launch of electric-bike taxis or two-wheeler bike-taxi collective service (aggregator) for cities with at least one lakh population, which is expected to benefit single passengers travelling up to 15 km and cover Mumbai besides several other urban centres in the state. Notably, on April 1, the state cabinet cleared the launch of e-bike taxis.

The government is pursuing its goal of Maharashtra becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2027 and $3.5 trillion by 2047 as a part of the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission.
