According to the Economic Survey for 2024-25, the working age population (15-59 years) shows continuously increasing trend and is expected to be 8.70 crore in 2026. The state population growth is expected to be 6.3 per cent during 2026-30 against 7.7 per cent during 2021-25 while it will be projected at 4.9 per cent during 2031-35.
