1 INTRODUCTION Collaborative learning (CL) is a dynamic process where individuals engage collectively to solve problems and construct shared understandings. As defined by Roschelle and Teasley (1995, p. 70), ‘it is a coordinated, synchronous activity aiming to maintain a shared conception of a problem’. This collaborative effort is not just about working together; it involves careful negotiation and monitoring of each participant's learning process, driven by a common goal.
