    Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) can be life-saving medications. They can alter the course of someone’s life by managing the often debilitating symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. They don’t work for everyone, and some people have to discontinue them due to adverse side effects, but for those for whom they work well and cause minimal side effects, they can be transformational.

    We often hear that people hate uncertainty. While this is generally true, it probably does not apply in every situation. People tend to hate uncertainty in their personal lives, but when there is uncertainty on a public matter, such as a disease threat, they want to know about it. Recent research has suggested that being told that something is uncertain can build trust.

    Aa Aa Aa - A + In discussions about misinformation, it is common to see certain topics covered, such as vaccines and reproductive health. While this makes sense because there is a lot of misinformation about these topics, often left out of the discussion is misinformation about mental health. While it may seem like less of a problem compared to rampant anti-vaccine ideology, misinformation about mental health is both prevalent and harmful.
