AbstractUninsured rates and access to screening mammography affect minorities disproportionally, resulting in higher breast cancer mortality, but awareness of disparities in coverage may help radiologists improve screening access and decrease compliance gaps affecting this patient population. After implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, the uninsured population of the United States decreased significantly.
