ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — A federal judge delayed the possible deportation of a man accused of being a potential MS-13 gang leader. Henry Josue Villatoro Santos, 24, had his deportation delayed while his defense attorney prepares for his defense, according to court documents obtained by 7News. Virginia and federal officials repeatedly claimed that Santos was a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.

WASHINGTON (7News) — Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen is back in the U.S. after a trip to El Salvador after meeting with the Maryland man at the center of a deportation battle. 7News was at Dulles International Airport as Van Hollen arrived home Friday afternoon, around 4:00 p.m. The senator traveled to El Salvador Wednesday morning to bring back Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old Maryland husband and father who was mistakenly deported to a notorious Salvadoran prison.

WASHINGTON (7News) — A victim was robbed by a group of men, possibly at gunpoint, in Southeast D.C. on Thursday afternoon, police said. Officers were called around 1:58 p.m. to the 1200 block of East Capitol Street, for reports of a robbery and violence. Officers then discovered the victim was robbed by a group of men, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). A handgun was recovered after canvassing the area, but officers do not know if the handgun was used in the robbery, said MPD.
