ArcGIS Blog The new European Cross-border Data (Beta) data source combines thirty-nine European countries into one group and can be used for mapping and analysis in Business Analyst. This data source is provided by Michael Bauer Research (MBR). Since this is an initial beta release of a European regional data source, the data and boundaries are subject to change in future releases.

As part of the June 2024 release, ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App debuted Esri’s first in-app assistant: Business Analyst Assistant (Beta). The assistant uses artificial intelligence (AI) to recommend and run popular workflows and provide tips for using the app. Business Analyst Assistant (Beta) helps new users learn about the app, and guides existing users in increasing their productivity.

With the June 2024 data release, there are boundary changes to several U.S. geography types used in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App: ZIP Codes are updated with a new source for both 2023 and 2024 boundaries. U.S. Census county boundaries are aligned with Connecticut’s administrative changes. Block group boundaries are now known as planning regions. CBSAs have been updated to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) July 2023 delineations.

In the June 2024 release, the Esri 2021 and Esri 2022 data sources will be deprecated in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App and ArcGIS Community Analyst. Business Analyst Web App and Community Analyst will continue to provide the Esri 2023 data source and the forthcoming Esri 2024 data source. The Esri Updated Demographics datasets are annually updated with demographic data in the United States.
