Tropical Storm Alberto, the first named storm of the 2024 hurricane season, formed on Wednesday morning in the Gulf of Mexico and is heading for the coast of Mexico. The storm, located 320 miles southeast of Brownsville, Texas, is traveling west-southwest at 9 mph and has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph.
