Louisiana stands as the first state to mandate the display of the Ten Commandments in every public school classroom. Arkansas has passed similar legislation that has yet to be enacted. And now, Texas is poised to follow suit. The Texas House of Representatives voted 88-49 to pass Senate Bill 10, which “requires public schools to post in classrooms a 16-by-20-inch (41-by-51-centimeter) poster or framed copy of a specific English version of the commandments,” the Associated Press reported.
