An MBTA commuter rail train collided with a semi-truck and pushed it down the track in Canton on Wednesday, according officials. The Canton Police Department reported the collision in a post on social media at 2 p.m. and said Pine Street is closed while authorities work at the scene. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured. Messages were left with the Canton Police Department, the MBTA, and Keolis, the MBTA’s commuter rail operator, seeking further information.

Six people were injured when a rental truck drove onto a sidewalk in the Chinatown section of Boston on Tuesday, officials said. At least two sustained serious injuries, according to Officer Mark Marron, a police department spokesperson. The driver was trapped inside the truck, which flipped over during the crash, and had to be extricated, according to fire department radio transmissions on Broadcastify. The transmissions indicated that five pedestrians were hit.

It’s spring, but winter must not have gotten the news. State offices in Maine closed early Monday at 2 p.m. due to “expected hazardous snow conditions,” officials said in a statement. As a storm system pushes through New England, several snow bands may extend across much of the state. In Augusta, as much as four inches of snow may fall, forecasters said.

The MBTA is investigating after a ceiling panel fell onto a subway platform at Harvard Station Thursday morning, two years after a ceiling panel fell in the area, officials said. No injuries were reported and train service was not affected, the MBTA said in a statement. The panel, which the MBTA said is made of light tin material, fell around 7:30 a.m. on the southbound Red Line platform. Engineer and station facilities management are investigating what caused it to fall, an MBTA spokesperson said.
