A Manchester, N.H., man allegedly opened fire on a group of people at Hampton Beach on Tuesday, injuring three, before leading police on a 30-mile chase, according to police, court records, and police radio transmissions. Divaris O. Ruiz, 18, was arraigned Wednesday in Hampton District Court on four counts of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and four counts of first-degree assault with a firearm, the Hampton Police Department said in a statement.

The second person on board a small airplane that crashed in Beverly last week has died, the Essex district attorney’s office confirmed Monday. The crash was reported Thursday near 106 Sam Fonzo Drive shortly after the plane took off from Beverly Regional Airport, about a block away from the crash site, official said.

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Springfield and authorities are looking for the driver, according to police. The crash was reported about 10:20 a.m. on the 100 block of Bowles Street, police said. The woman was taken to Baystate Medical Center where she died from her injuries, police said in a statement on social media. The driver fled the scene of the crash, police said. Authorities released photos of a white Acura TL in connection with the crash.
