Development around Lynn Family Stadium is set to officially begin; yesterday, officials announced a mixed-use project headed just east of the stadium in Butchertown. Soccer Holdings, LLC — the parent company behind Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC — said that Denton Floyd Real Estate Group and LDG Development will work on the Butchertown Apartments development.

After years of delayed deadlines, it’s finally getting real — the official deadline to obtain a REAL ID is coming up on May 7, 2025. You’ll need a REAL ID — or another federally-approved form of identification, such as a passport — if you plan to fly domestically or enter secure federal or military facilities starting May 7. If you don’t have one by that time, you’ll still be able to do things like vote and drive with a standard state license.
