White Evangelicals were the strongest voting demographic for Donald Trump. Exit polls say their support increased to 82 percent from 76 percent in 2020. White Evangelicals also decreased from 28 percent of the electorate in 2020 to 23 percent in 2024. But this win does not necessarily evince optimism.

Most of what is written about Christian nationalism is silly. Critics and analysts sweepingly deride conventional Christian conservatives as Christian nationalists. By some counts, there are, by this definition, tens of millions of Christian nationalists. Sometimes even civil religion, with its homage to a vague deity, is labeled Christian nationalism. If so, all presidents from George Washington to Joe Biden are Christian nationalists.

Air carrier liability for passenger injury or death in the UK and EU is governed by the Montreal Convention on International Carriage by Air 1999, which applies to international carriage of passengers by air and provides an exclusive liability regime in the event of death or injury. Along with its predecessor, the Warsaw Convention (to which some jurisdictions are still signatories), it provides for strict liability in certain circumstances for ‘bodily injury’ up to a financial limit.

In prayer, much of Mainline Protestantism seems to have taken this maxim to heart, with churches expending significant space and funds to construct labyrinths: mandalic walking trails designed to promote meditative practice or spiritual healing. Post-pandemic, the trend has grown beyond churches, with labyrinths now appearing at multifaith college campuses, community centers, and hospitals.
