EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Borderland migrant advocates released images only to ABC-7 showing the injuries an Ecuadorian woman suffered when she became entangled in concertina, or razor wire, put in place by Texas National Guardsmen. Razor wire along the border was put in place as part of governor Greg Abbott's Operation Lone Star. The migrant woman's injuries were so severe, she was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The Borderland experienced the first winter wallop of the year, and much of it was destructive, beginning on Monday. 60 mile per hour winds toppled a tree, crushing two cars and a motorcycle. EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Cannabis sales are soaring in a small city just west of the state line. Scotty Walden was named to replace him. Many in the community jeered when we learned two city leaders together spent more than $10,000 filling up their gas tanks with taxpayer money. 2023 saw the firing of City Manager Tommy Gonzales.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A source with a group of non-governmental organizations, or NGO's, shared a video with ABC-7 of migrants walking along a road outside, heading towards Ciudad Juarez. That source says these are not migrants who are getting rides from smugglers, rather people who have chosen to walk the trek all the way to the border.
