Stephen Castle, 59, was yesterday convicted of killing Wayne Woodgate, 54, after a chance encounter in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Mr Woodgate’s body was found in woodland near Rye. Castle strangled Mr Woodgate, who was described as a "much-loved" father and grandfather, over claims the latter was a "grass". A trial heard the killing was the result of a "long-standing grudge" held by Castle, who blamed Mr Woodgate for informing on him to police in 2015.
