Council to approve a new stadium deal at the RFK site. A source close to the situation told 7News Sports Director Scott Abraham that the team believes there is a path to getting that vote in three weeks.

WASHINGTON (7News) — The Jordan Poole era is over in Washington. According to an ESPN report, the Wizards have traded Poole, Saddiq Bey and the No. 40 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft to the New Orleans Pelicans for CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk, and a future second-round pick. Poole, a shooting guard, led the Wizards in scoring last season, pouring in 20.5 points per game to go along with 3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in 68 starts. McCollum has one year left on his current contract.

ASHBURN/7NEWS — Protecting Jayden Daniels was clearly a big priority this offseason for the Washington Commanders. It's a big reason why they traded for left tackle Laremy Tunsil. The 10-year NFL veteran has started in all 125 games he has appeared in and is a five-time Pro Bowler. Over the last couple of days in minicamp, Tunsil has acclimated himself to a new locker room and new culture. He's also taken some time to get to know his new quarterback, Jayden Daniels.
