Five decades have passed since the Cody Martial Arts Academy was started and it continues to have plenty of interest from students at the school on Ray Road. CMAA was founded by Master Bill House in March of 1975. It was originally housed in a few different locations around town, then moved to the present building in 1992. The number of people enrolled in the program varies, but it may have as many as 25 students at the school taking a class on any given night.

Playing football on the field in front of the iconic “Touchdown Jesus” is something former Cody Broncs Luke Talich dreamed about when he was a young athlete. The image of Jesus Christ is in the form of a large mural adjacent to the football stadium at Notre Dame University in Indiana. The larger-than-life image of Christ with his hands raised in the sign of a touchdown looms just beyond one of the end zones and is an inspirational site for those on the field of play.
