The suspect in a weekend shooting in Silsbee surrendered today at the Hardin County Jail. Police Chief Shawn Blackwell says Jamarcus Huntsberry, 28, was jailed on the 3rd degree felony charge of Deadly Conduct/Discharge of a Firearm. The investigation began at about 4:30 Sunday afternoon when Silsbee PD rushed to the scene of a shooting in the 400 block of South 22nd Street. The victim, a 19-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the forearm.

The Port Neches Police Department is investigating a worker's death at a shipyard, and the preliminary information is it's not related to an industrial accident, according to Chief Cheri' Griffith. Police were called this morning to Sterling Shipyard on Main Street in Port Neches. Chief Griffith says the man was dead when officers arrived. Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett tells KFDM/Fox 4 News the 35-year-old man from Port Arthur was welding in the yard when he died.
