    Jasper — A former teacher at Parnell Elementary School in Jasper has been arrested in the wake of allegations from multiple girls that he inappropriately touched them, and allegations that he threatened to kill one girl and her family if she told anyone, according to our media partner, KJAS. Calvin Gordon Knighten, 53, surrendered to Jasper police and was booked into the Jasper County Jail on three counts of assault by offensive contact, all Class C misdemeanors.
