The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a teenager in connection with the shooting death of a man and attempt to steal his motorized bicycle. The grand jury indicted Myles Horne, 17, for Murder and Aggravated Robbery. If convicted of the 1st degree felonies, he could face up to life in prison. Magistrate Marc DeRouen set total bond at $1.5 million for Horne following his arrest in the April 8 shooting death of 63-year-old Terry Thompson.

Beaumont — If you're transporting drugs on Interstate 10, the Beaumont Police Department wants you to know it's making a habit of finding what you're trying to hide. BPD detectives made another big cocaine seizure on the highway, following recent discoveries of nearly 1,300 and 44 pounds of cocaine. At 6 p.m. Friday, May 9 detectives with the Beaumont Police Department’s Narcotics Interdiction Unit stopped the driver of a blue Jeep Cherokee on Interstate 10.
