KFDM-TV (Beaumont, TX)

KFDM is a television station that broadcasts on virtual channel 6 and UHF digital channel 15. It is affiliated with CBS, CW+, and Fox and is based in Beaumont, Texas, serving the Golden Triangle area of southeast Texas. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which also runs KBTV-TV (channel 4), a Dabl affiliate licensed in Port Arthur, through joint sales and shared services agreements with Deerfield Media. Both KFDM and KBTV-TV operate from shared studios located at the interchange of I-10 and US 69 (Eastex Freeway) in Beaumont, while KFDM's transmitter is situated in Vidor, Texas. For cable viewers, KFDM-DT1 can be found on Charter Spectrum channel 3 in both standard and high definition, while KFDM-DT3 is available on channel 2.

Beaumont — If you're transporting drugs on Interstate 10, the Beaumont Police Department wants you to know it's making a habit of finding what you're trying to hide. BPD detectives made another big cocaine seizure on the highway, following recent discoveries of nearly 1,300 and 44 pounds of cocaine. At 6 p.m. Friday, May 9 detectives with the Beaumont Police Department’s Narcotics Interdiction Unit stopped the driver of a blue Jeep Cherokee on Interstate 10.

Jefferson County — A man described as a predator who stole the innocence of two young girls and sexually assaulted them for nine years is going to prison for the rest of his life. 252nd District Court Judge Raquel West sentenced Brian Edward Hawley, 49, to consecutive (stacked) terms of 50 years, 10 years, and 10 years, in connection with a Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child case and two separate Indecency with a Child by sexual contact cases, according to District Attorney Keith Giblin.
