Research ArticleAPPLIED PHYSICS INTRODUCTIONMaterials that conduct both electronic and ionic charges through the bulk of their volume are crucial for emerging electrochemical devices (1). Among this materials class, organic mixed ionic-electronic conductors (OMIECs) have emerged as a highly promising candidate due to their biocompatibility and relatively high free volume, which facilitates the uptake of bulky ionic species without undergoing damaging strains.
