FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth was just named the best city in America... but for what? “Architecture,” guessed resident Amayah Griffin. “Historical landmarks,” said another local, Samantha Zeno. “Best cowboys,” wondered Alberto Castilleja. “Rodeo? I’m not too sure to be honest.” Most Fort Worth natives would never have known that Cowtown was recently named the best city in America to survive a zombie apocalypse. “That’s interesting,” Griffin said. “I don’t believe that,” said Zeno.

DALLAS — Ask anyone at Standard Aero in Irving, a company that repairs airplane engines, and they’ll tell you, they don’t make them like they used to. But inside, they’ve got one that defies explanation, whose engine operates at full speed, and after 60 years, still works. Eighty-three-year-old Kurtis Ray wakes up at 2:30 every morning to begin his 5 a.m. shift, just like he has for the past 60 years. “My goal is to not let anybody on this line outwork me,” Ray said.

DALLAS — Sixty-six-year-old Debbie Jordan is getting ready for a date. It’s a date she thought would never happen, and one she’s waited nearly 50 years for. “I’m thankful that someone had me on their heart to choose me to be a part [of this],” Jordan said as she fought back tears. Her tears of joy were made possible by tears of sorrow. Forty-eight years ago Jordan missed out on her senior prom. Her mom worked three jobs, but with six kids couldn’t afford to send her.

Oklahoma City just lost to an East team at home for the first time since March 12, 2024 - nearly 15 months ago - when they lost to the Indiana Pacers.

Oh. My. God. PACERS!!!!!!!! https://t.co/KBpApppU77
