Christopher Crothers, the owner, is dedicated to his craft. "I love to fix things; this is my happy place," Chris says with enthusiasm. At the Springfield Clock Shop, clocks adorn the walls, creating an atmosphere where time seems to stand still. "Equal parts patience and stubbornness," he explains, describing his approach to clock repair.

WAND's 'Around the 217' heads to Springfield to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Darcy's Pint. Darcy's Pint, best known for its horseshoes, is located off West Stanford Avenue and has become a popular spot for favorite meals and special occasions. It was named one of America's best restaurants in 2022.

Executive director Evelyn Hood is dedicated to uncovering and preserving history. "Whatever we do is a legacy for us. We may not see the ending, but that's okay. On the second floor, in a display case, is a black turban style hat that's not much different than the one a 42-year-old seamstress wore after work one day in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a White man, she was arrested.
