Sports Info Solutions, which admittedly sounds like the name of a fake watered-down company that would exist in some ‘1984’esque film universe about A.I. athletes, has upgraded their grades of the 2022 draft…and guess who’s on top? The Seattle Seahawks have overtaken the New York Jets, despite that green team having three first round picks and four of the top-36.

Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has only ever had that job for one season at a time — 2021 with the Vikings, 2024 with the Saints — and in both cases he wasn’t really doing the shopping. What if I told you that the player who was going to defy decades of draft history at his position, both locally and league wide, and who would force the Seahawks GM to re-write his own quotes about guards being “overdrafted”, was in fact a second round pick who the media has convinced you is not only a worthy pick for Seattle at 18…he’s the only pick. That would take a generational talent at center or guard.
