    When I write and prepare articles for the vintage fragrances column, one of the most enjoyable and exciting things to do is to find and select illustrations. The most common illustrations for articles are fragrances' advertising posters clipped from magazines; they convey the spirit of the time. It is noticeable by the clothes and age of the models, their hair and makeup; it can be understood by the surrounding interior, rich and full of luxury or especially absent.

    Perhaps this review should have been written by my colleagues Elena or Beth, who, by their own admission, adore date smells and tastes, and the very idea of dates (one, two, three). I myself have been hesitant to touch my Camel sample just because of the dates; why I associated the picture of the camel only with dried fruits and dates is unclear. But today, I decided to smell it, and found Camel to be a pleasant, dynamically fresh spicy aroma, far enough from the gourmand theme.
