INDIANAPOLIS - On Thursday, the Milwaukee Bucks received some good news on the progress of All-Star guard Damian Lillard and his deep vein thrombosis diagnosis. Lillard is no longer taking blood-thinning medication, which means he could potentially return during their first-round series against Indiana. Though Lillard has been ruled out for Game 1, the Pacers spent the week preparing to face him and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

CHICAGO - As Coby White walked off the court after his pregame warmup before the Bulls played the Mavericks on March 29, he stopped to sign autographs for some young fans with their arms outstretched near the Bulls' tunnel. A girl stuck her sneaker - a red-and-white Jordan 1 - through the guardrail. Without hesitation, White scribbled on the toe of her shoe. It was a little gesture, but it was symbolic in a way; though he's not "a superstar" by typical NBA standards, White is a star in Chicago.

On March 15, when the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers met for the final time this regular season, it was the 15th time the two teams had played each other in a little more than 16 months. After a playoff series last season and plenty of regular-season drama the last two seasons, Bucks coach Doc Rivers was asked if he noticed the two teams in medium-sized Midwest markets treating each other as rivals. "I think the two medium markets notice, I don't know if anyone else notices," Rivers joked.
