RIVERSIDE, Mo. — A dermatologist in the Kansas City area has a new way to track just how much sun exposure you’re getting, which, in turn, hopefully prevents signs of premature aging. Dr. Brian Matthys created Burῡv, a smart band for the Apple Watch that tracks your real-time sun exposure while keeping you safe and preventing wrinkles, dark spots, and damage. “It’s a fitness tracker for your skin,” Matthys said, who spent three years perfecting the design.

The new feature-length documentary, “Sounds of the City”, premieres Friday, April 11, at the Uptown Theater off of 36th and Broadway. After that, viewers can start streaming it on Saturday, April 12, on Amazon Prime. The two-hour film took four years to create and is a passion project for director-producer Dustin Phillips.
