Renfroe, along with Zarda Bar-B-Q and Hy-Vee partnered for the return of “Hunter’s Royale with Cheese” in 2025. The sandwich was also sold during the 2024 season. The purpose of the signature sandwich is to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Kansas City. Last year, Zarda sold over 5,000 of them, which raised $17,500 for BBBSKC.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a shooting Friday night that left one person dead. The shooting was reported just after 8:30 p.m. in the area of Elma Street and Park Avenue. When KCPD officers arrived on scene they found a man lying in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the incident is being investigated as a homicide and no one is in custody at this time.
