95 $62 Drink by: 2026-2031 Here is a wine that speaks most loudly of the Yarra and secondly of its Giant Steps roots. Yellow grapefruit, winter melon and crunchy nectarine. Crumbling chalk dust, blue stone and almond paste. There is an inherent fruity jingle that chimes throughout the drinking experience, this is meant to be drunk in good humour, over the chattering and general hum of busy restaurants. A wonderful expression of Chardonnay that is for now, for merriment and for everybody.

95 $62 Drink by: 2025-2031 A squeaky clean wine with pristine red summer berries. Raspberries, strawberries and dragonfruit encased with red jelly awaiting its dollop of cream. It’s animated with fuzzy sage leaf, boisterous sumac and white pepper spice. Some lint like tannins that thread right from start to finish, you’ll be most likely sipping away steadily to really notice their shadowy presence, but they support the charismatic fruit and woodsy herbal chorus very well.

95 $40 Drink by: 2025-2035 A blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon 75% with Cabernet Franc 11% and small touches of Malbec 8% and Petit Verdot 6% to round out the assemblage. This is almost as if you were perched above a foragers basket of berries and herbs. Blackberry, blueberries and Davidson plums. Some basil, rosemary and tuberose. Black soil, clove and gravelly stones. Clove and cassia bark compliment the intensity of fruit with slinky lines of acidity and firm tannins.

From the start this Eden Valley chardonnay shows a subtle degree of winemaking influence; just a little but perfectly judged... Not your usual powerhouse of a Chardonnay, but rather subtle and reserved at this early stage. Perhaps it’s a feature... A stunning Langhe Nebbiolo that would top many Barolos and Barbarescos although this wine is certainly still holding its cards... A variety that can be a bit hit and miss in Australia. In this case – a hit. This 100%...
