About 35 students from Hudson’s Bay and Fort Vancouver high schools spent Wednesday digging in the dirt. A new report from the Washington Policy Center shows during the first two months of 2025, 21.7 percent of new car sales statewide were electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, with Clark County's numbers trailing behind that. Clark County is seeking young volunteers to fill at least 10 positions on the Clark County Youth Commission for the 2025-26 program year. The commission is a group of 30 individuals, age 11-19, who serve as a voice for county youth. The commission advises the county council and departments and community organizations about how their work can affect young people.

Clark County drivers headed north on Interstate 5 should be prepared for delays in the Ridgefield area through April 24. State Department of Transportation crews are removing and replacing traffic barriers on the northbound I-5 offramp at Exit 14/Pioneer Street. Once the new barrier is in place, crews will move a light pole and shift the concrete to extend the right-turn lane. In a press release Tuesday, the state agency said the work will support future commercial development in the area.
