7 JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. – Big improvements are on the way for the Lewis Army Museum at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. This summer, after years of hard work from staff members, funding was secured for the restoration of all 18 vehicles on display outside on the museum’s grounds.

Whether you're a fan of their music or not, you've likely heard of the band Metallica. They pushed their way into the public consciousness in 1981 and gradually broadened globally with their characteristically fast tempo and thought-provoking lyrics. JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD - The year's most outstanding volunteers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord were recognized by the installation's senior leaders May 29 with a banquet in their honor at the McChord Field Club. The JBLM Volunteer Recognition Ceremony paid tribute to volunteers from various communities across the base including active-duty, civilian and one family who all used their personal time to make a difference in the lives of others and provided inspiration through their dedication.

A new rapid test produces lab quality results using whole blood to identify biomarkers associated with mild traumatic brain injury, otherwise known as concussion. The results could help forward-deployed medics and health care providers at battalion aid stations and field hospitals decide which wounded service members they need to treat first and who needs to be evacuated from the field.

Clayton Allen Fulks has been found GUILTY of all 3 counts of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile in regards to the abuse of a 7 year-old girl in July 2020. Jurors deliberated for less than 40 minutes, according to court officials.

🚨🚨 we are aware of the reports of active shooters at Leesville High School and at DeRidder High School. As of now, both Vernon and Beauregard sheriffs are reporting the calls are UNFOUNDED and may even be occurring statewide.

🚨 Be on the lookout for escaped inmate Dustin Causey. Authorities say Causey walked away from a facility in DeQuincy this morning while in custody. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, denim jeans and a NAPA hat. Causey is not believed to be a threat to the public https://t.co/klxWDrwJaq
