DICKSON, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) - A 19-year-old in Nashville died after he crashed head-on into his uncle days before Thanksgiving. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2012 Nissan Titan and a 2014 GMC Sierra were both traveling on Thompson Road at about 3:30 p.m.The Nissan, driven by 19-year-old Joshua Lugg, was traveling west, while the GMC, driven by his uncle was traveling east.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - Students with head lice could soon get to stay in class instead of being sent home in Williamson County. School board members discussed and planned to vote on a head lice policy change for the district, and parents shared their thoughts on the situation with WSMV4. Some parents said that the thought of a child with head lice staying in school was unsettling, but some school board members said there’s a logical reason to keep them in class.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Hate groups have been demonstrating all over the city of Nashville and Tuesday evening, some of those demonstrators were met with counter-protestors at city hall. The group signed up to speak but were cleared out of the chamber for disrupting the meeting. After Metro Nashville police escorted them out, they were met by counter-protesters. “They’ve been doing days of action, especially throughout Nashville,” Nashvillian Reyn Hahn said.

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Hundreds of kids competed in youth baseball tournaments across the state and are doing so in sweltering heat. Parents said they were worried about how they would keep their kids safe in the heat. The kids aged between nine and 12 years old spent Friday playing in 90-degree heat for hours. “It’s pretty common for us to have to worry about the heat,” Chris Ledbetter said.

The loving mother and grandmother was taken in the blink of an eye. “She was just an amazing person. She was wonderful,” her daughter Brianne Lovett said. Brianne Lovett said her whole world changed in a matter of seconds.
