    Six photographers are in the running for a new photography award that has been introduced by Annie Leibovitz in collaboration with philanthropist and photographer Lisa Saltzman. They are vying for the Saltzman-Leibovitz Photography Prize, which will award $20,000 in total to the creatives, who are based in Ukraine, the U.S., Nigeria, Romania, the Netherlands and France.

    After a decade of working together, Area’s cofounder Beckett Fogg and cofounder and creative director Piotrek Panszczyk are going in different directions. Panszczyk is exiting the company. In a statement announcing his departure, the cofounders said, “We are incredibly proud of all we have accomplished together over the past 10 years, and for Piotrek’s vision and dedication that have shaped the brand over these years.” His plans were not immediately known Tuesday morning.

    Giving a fresh jolt to the blending of fashion and art, the Gibbes Museum of Art has unveiled “Statement Pieces: Contemporary Fashion Design and the Gibbes Collection.” The exhibition juxtaposes designer pieces alongside works of art from the Charleston, S.C. museum’s permanent collection. Running through April 27, “Statement Pieces” features paintings and other work from the 1770s to the 2020s.

    PARIS — For their winter edition, the Paris fashion and jewelry trade shows Who’s Next and Bijorhca gathered nearly 1,150 exhibitors under a single roof from Jan. 18 to 20 at the Porte de Versailles. Spread over Hall 1, the fairs — under the title “What’s Next for Who’s Next?” — were located in a building adjacent to sister events Salon International de la Lingerie and Interfilière, also organized by the WSN group.
