A clean-up operation is being carried out in Co Meath after an estimated two truckloads of waste was illegally dumped on a road. The load, containing rubble, household waste and toys, is believed to have been dumped late last night or in the early hours of this morning. Workers from Meath County Council are working to clean up the pile of rubbish, which is blocking a local road between Kinnegad and Ballinabrackey.

The hit Western series Yellowstone has announced that the second half of its fifth and final season will premiere in the US in November 2024 - and two more spinoffs from the Paramount Network show are in the works. US entertainment trade publication The Hollywood Reporter said the final episodes of the Kevin Costner and Kelly Reilly-starring Yellowstone had originally been planned for this year, but strikes by Hollywood writers and actors resulted in the schedule change.

Everton captain Seamus Coleman is set to begin his comeback from a knee operation with a match for the under-21s this weekend. The Republic of Ireland international has not played since damaging ligaments on 1 May at Leicester but could be reintroduced to competitive action against Manchester United's under-21s at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday. Manager Sean Dyche said: "Seamus is going well. He’ll hopefully get involved in a game for the under-21s this weekend.
