New Published May 25, 2025 3:53 pm A mild to moderate onshore flow kept the marine layer for our coastal areas, but some sunshine did sneak through from time to time. Inland areas saw more sunshine with slightly warmer temperatures making for an overall beautiful Sunday. Look for the fog to build once again along the coast and then gradually push inland overnight.

New Published May 24, 2025 3:59 pm A very quiet start to the holiday weekend with steady onshore flow. Temperatures are mostly near to slightly below normal which means warm inland and cool to mild along the coast. Winds might be a bit gusty for some of our foothill and mountains, especially near the Gaviota area. For now, there are now advisories posted, but winds could still gust above 25 mph from the northwest.

New Published May 18, 2025 3:56 pm Mother Nature delivered with a beautiful Sunday as our latest Pacific storm pushed farther east and helped to weaken the marine layer. Breezy to gusty northerly winds are still expected to remain through Sunday evening with a Wind Advisory for portions of Santa Barbara and Ventura County. Wind gusts could reach above 45 mph, especially below foothills and mountains through very early Monday morning.

New Published May 17, 2025 3:57 pm Another very typical May day with plenty of cloud cover and mostly cool temperatures near the coast with mild to warm readings inland. However, the strong onshore flow which is the result of a storm system moving through the West Coast is bringing some changes. The cloud cover will linger along west and north facing foothills and mountains, but drier air is funneling in from the north.

New Published May 11, 2025 3:54 pm Most areas experienced noticeable cooling despite the abundant sunshine. Inland areas remain warm while our coastal areas have seen the arrival of cool onshore winds as a late season storm moves toward our region. The only exception is the South Coast where the northerly winds are keeping temperatures on the warm side. All heat advisories dropped off late Saturday evening and so far, there are no wind advisories despite the gusty northerly flow.
