KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Charlie Barnett moved into his home 20 years ago. It sits on 15 acres, filled with trees, brush and nature, with a view that can’t be beat. Barnett is also ensuring that nothing on this land will change. “I can pretty much do anything I want to on the land, but I can’t build houses,” said Barnett. Barnett partnered with Foothills Land Conservancy several years ago. His land is in a conservation easement; it’s overseen by a trustee, Foothills Land Conservancy.
