The former treasurer for the South Park BMX Track Association has been charged with stealing more than $100,000 from the organization and using the money for her own benefit. Jennifer Meares was the treasurer for the track association for the last seven years. It wasn't until a contractor didn't get paid the $37,000 he was owed that Meares showed up on the radar. "I was sick to my stomach. That's the best way to put it," said board president Nick Dawson.

Dierre Jenkins is the new girls basketball coach at the high school in Fayette County. But a past arrest for selling cocaine has parents asking why he got hired. The Uniontown Area School Board voted to hire Jenkins at Monday's board meeting.

Monday's round of storms comes as more than 10,000 homes in the Pittsburgh area are without power following last week's intense storms. Duquesne Light says it has enough equipment and resources to complete the restoration, but it has never dealt with a storm of this size and scale. So far, crews have replaced nearly 300 utility poles, 250 transformers and 250,000 feet of wire. For those without power, the frustration is growing, especially when their neighbors across the street have power.

Several supermarkets in the Pittsburgh area are helping people restock after power outages led to spoiled food in many households. On Sunday, Shop 'n Save stores in Castle Shannon and Cranberry Township will offer 15% off groceries. The owner told KDKA-TV it's his way of giving back to the community in a time of need.

Tens of thousands of people are still without power 48 hours after what Duquesne Light called an "unprecedented storm" on Tuesday. Duquesne Light says at one point, 325,000 homes were without power. About 200,000 customers have since had their power restored, the company said in an update on Thursday afternoon. Duquesne Light says it could take five to seven days before all customers have their electricity restored. Duquesne Light has had 22,000 reports of hazards like downed poles, wires and trees.
