1. IntroductionIn the context of frequent extreme weather events and high-density urban development, the slender structures and extreme wind climate of high-rise buildings make them more prone to overall or local structural wind-induced vibrations, which can affect both structural safety and occupant comfort. Therefore, it is crucial to assess the vibration characteristics of high-rise building structures under lateral wind loads for building design.

Abstract Using a unified method of the extended first-principles molecular dynamics, we report a wide-range (density ρ=2.329–18.632 g/cm3, temperature T=1.00×104–1.29×108 K) equation of state (EOS) and principal Hugoniot of silicon, which agree well with experimental results, and then evaluate the precision of the results of first-principles calculations and a universal database.
