Singapore will provide more support and subsidies for the long-term care of seniors. These will help 80,000 people residing in care homes, as well as those ageing in place in their community. Subsidies for residential long-term care services will increase by up to 15 percentage points to a maximum of 80% subsidy for older citizens with the lowest income. More households will also benefit as the eligibility threshold will be raised from S$3,600 to S$4,800 in monthly per capita income.
