On June 21, 2023, the New York State Department of Labor amended the New York Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (NY Mini-WARN Act). The updated regulations took effect immediately. The NY Mini-WARN Act requires businesses to provide advanced notice of major layoffs, business closures, and other changes in operation including facility relocation and reduction in work hours.
