Also winning on Tuesday night was John Hurt, who ran unopposed for Sumner County’s Assessor of Property and received 99.34% of the vote.

Patrons are invited to come by the library for free vegetable, fruit, and herb seeds. BONNIE FUSSELLPortland Public Library of Sumner County opened a Seed Library on Feb. 13. with the purpose is to give the community the skills and seeds it needs to grow and harvest fresh produce. Meiska Starner, operations manager, is coordinating the program.

The resolution commends Tennesseans for their strong opposition and unequivocal condemnation of hate groups.
