Ammonia is the link to maintain the development of agriculture and industry, raising more than seven billion people in the world. In the future, the demand for ammonia-based fertilizers will continue to rise. At present, the large-scale production of ammonia is still dependent on the Haber-Bosch process, which has been used to synthesize ammonia for more than 100 years. However, policy makers and researchers are re-examining whether to continue to use the Haber-Bosch process to synthesize ammonia.
