People travelling along Wellington Street may have noticed this terraced house displaying an array of signs old and new from across the country. The house has become one of the town’s most iconic sites with Blackburn Rovers fans passing the home during home games.

In the summer it becomes more and more common to see people taking more and more risks I am probably not the only one who has nearly been run over by one of those guys on an electric bike. I am an experienced driver but it must be frightening for people who are not as confident on the road when one of the e-powered motorbikes flies past. If you are an elderly driver and you see one of these guys coming at you the wrong way down the road, then you are going to panic.

5 1/1 A Darwen bikers’ shop has kindly kitted out Liliana Myers, the widow of Hairy Biker Dave Myers, ahead of ‘Dave Day’ events. Liliana, Lili as she is known, launched Dave Day last year as a tribute to the much-loved TV host and chef who died aged 66 in February 2024 following a battle with cancer. This year’s Dave Day event will be held on June 21 and sees the UK motorcycle community pull together and ride to Dave’s hometown of Barrow in Furness.

Little Harwood and Daisyfield independent councillor Altaf 'Tiger' Patel was filmed in December 2024 marking out red lines on the road in front of his home.
