AmaZulu winger Tshepang Moremi has made it clear that he wants to play at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) and Fifa World Cup, aiming to use Bafana Bafana's double friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique to prove to coach Hugo Broos that he can be an asset. The 24-year-old Moremi, who hails from Sharpeville in the Vaal, had a brilliant 2024/25 campaign with Usuthu, where he managed to rack up seven assists and three goals in the league to help his club finish sixth in the Betway Premiership.

Orlando Pirates right-back Deano van Rooyen believes the experience the Buccaneers gained from participating in the CAF Champions League this past season will come in handy for the national team in their two upcoming friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique. “We had a good season as Orlando Pirates and we gained a lot of experience in the CAF Champions League, so now it is for us to help the country, using that experience,” Van Rooyen said.
