It is not well understood how relapse risk and prevention are managed and discussed between patients and general practitioners in primary care. 2.4.3 Secondary predictor variables Loneliness and symptoms of anxiety and depression were included as secondary predictor variables. Loneliness was a categorical variable that was assessed by a single question “Do you feel lonely?” Response options were “yes” or “no” and participants were categorized as “not lonely” = 0 or “lonely” = 1.
